The C. Grier Beam Truck Museum, located in Cherryville, North Carolina, was founded in 1982 by Carolina Freight Carriers Corporation.  In 1985 the museum received its nonprofit status from the state of North Carolina and the United States Government.  At that time Carolina Freight Carriers Corporation transferred ownership of the museum land and buildings to this nonprofit corporation.

The C. Grier Beam Truck Museum is committed to preserving the history of the trucking industry.  It is located in the original gas station  where Carolina Freight began in the 1930's and the building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  It houses early models of tractors and trailers, as well as other memorabilia of the industry and of Carolina Freight Carriers Corporation.  The history of the trucking industry can continue to be preserved only because you care.  We invite you to become a member of the C.
